Project Based Learning Teacher

Seeking Experienced or Enthusiastic PBL Teacher

Are you passionate about Project-Based Learning (PBL) and eager to guide learners beyond traditional classrooms? We are seeking an AME Learning Facilitator (LF)—not a conventional teacher, but a guide, co-learner, and space-holder who cultivates meaningful, curiosity-driven learning.

At Always Meaningful Education (AME), PBL is at the heart of our approach. Through the AME model—Curiosity → Creation → Contribution—students co-design their learning journeys, connect knowledge across disciplines, and transform ideas into purposeful contributions.

Essential Requirements

  • Professional degree in Education (or related fields with proven teaching experience).
  • Proficiency in English (mandatory).
  • Experience in education, psychology, or related fields.
  • Comfort working in innovative or nontraditional learning environments.
  • Commitment to whole-child, curiosity-driven learning.
  • Legal status or visa that allows residence in both Madrid and Medellín (with occasional travel).
  • Willingness to live between both locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Learning Environment & Energy

  • Hold the space with authenticity and regulation, modeling a growth mindset and lifelong learning.
  • Build safe, trusting environments where learners feel valued and free to take risks.
  • Facilitate self-care practices (movement, journaling, breathwork, gratitude, meditation) to prepare body and brain.
  • Recognize that “the energy in the room is the curriculum—and it starts with us.”

2. Curiosity & Input Phase

  • Guide learners in co-creating journeys through democratic decision-making and curiosity.
  • Connect topics across multiple lenses (science, math, art, geography, language).
  • Model neuroscience-backed strategies (Pomodoro, mind mapping, visualization).
  • Support independent learning with goal-setting, tracking, and reflection.

3. Creation & Output Phase

  • Support learners in applying knowledge through projects, presentations, and refinement.
  • Track progress in both content mastery and strength/interest-based skills.
  • Foster collaboration, peer feedback, and collective problem-solving.

4. Contribution & Meaning

  • Guide learners to transform learning into purposeful contributions.
  • Emphasize real-world application, authentic audiences, and feedback.
  • Model reflection that links personal growth with collective impact.

Core Competencies

  • Neuroscience Literacy: Apply research on brain-body learning and motivation.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Show empathy, presence, and co-regulation.
  • Facilitation Skills: Shift from content delivery to guiding exploration and inquiry.
  • Creativity & Adaptability: Design flexible, engaging, and personalized experiences.
  • Collaboration: Work as a co-learner with students, families, and peers.
  • Growth Mindset: Model reflection, vulnerability, and continuous improvement.

Contractual Conditions

  • Salary: Negotiable, based on experience.
  • Expenses covered: Travel, accommodation, and meals when required.

AME Core Beliefs

  • We are no longer just teachers—we are space-holders, energy readers, and co-learners.
  • Curiosity is the catalyst for growth.
  • Education is not about rote memorization but about transformation, self-discovery, and contribution.
