We are seeking a Geomechanical Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting geomechanical studies and analyses to ensure stability and safety across our mining projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- Geomechanical characterization of the rock mass (field data acquisition).
- Monitoring and control of stability.
- Defining and validating support types.
- Designing reinforcement systems based on the quality of the rock mass and excavation conditions.
- Conducting numerical modeling (simulations) utilizing software such as Phase2.
- Software utilization: AutoCAD, Vulcan, Leapfrog.
- Processing structural data utilizing Dips, Unwedge.
- Identifying and evaluating risks associated with rock falls, collapses, or ground pressures within the underground mine.
- Providing support to mine planning by consulting on excavation design.
- Conducting training sessions for personnel regarding area-related topics.
Requirements:
- Academic Background: Geologist or Geological Engineer.
- Work Experience: A minimum of six months of experience in underground mining.
- Availability: Availability to work on mining projects in Segovia, Antioquia.
Employment Conditions:
- Schedule: 14 x 7 rotation on a 12-hour shift.
- Salary: Commensurate with experience (Salario a convenir).
