Medell\u00edn (Antioquia) \u2013 Augusto L\u00f3pez Valencia has assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Colombian mining company Mineros S.A. (TSX: MSA) (BVC: Mineros).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis decision marks a new phase in the Company\u2019s strategic vision and direction following the incorporation of Sun Valley Investments as a shareholder, reinforcing Mineros\u2019 commitment to shared value creation and responsible, sustainable mining,\u201d the Company stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Augusto L\u00f3pez Valencia, born in Santo Domingo, Antioquia, is an electrical engineer from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. He began his career at Cervecer\u00eda Uni\u00f3n and later served as President of Bavaria S.A. for 14 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time, the brewery was part of the largest private sector business conglomerate in Colombia, the Santo Domingo Group, then led by the Barranquilla-born Panamanian industrialist Julio Mario Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has held executive roles at several of Colombia\u2019s leading companies, including Avianca, Valores Bavaria S.A., Colseguros, Sofasa, Caracol Televisi\u00f3n, Banco Comercial Antioque\u00f1o, Gran Colombia Gold, Banc\u00f3ldex, Carulla-Vivero, and Metro de Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He currently serves on the boards of Grupo Ethuss, Win Sports, and Uniempresarial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recognition of his leadership and impact, he has received numerous national and international honors, including the Order of the Congress of the Republic of Colombia and the National Order of Merit of France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
