Purpose of the position We are seeking a Mining Project Leader, responsible for directing, planning, and supervising underground mining operations, ensuring compliance with the safety, regulatory, and production standards established by the organization.
Requirements:
- Education: Professional degree in Mining Engineering (mandatory). A post-graduate specialization in Mining Management, Project Management, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years in supervisory, managerial, or coordination roles within underground mining. Demonstrated experience in mine planning, production control, safety management, and mining-environmental regulatory compliance.
- Technical Knowledge: Short, medium, and long-term mine planning; management, procurement, control, and regulation of explosives (Ministry of Defense – DCCAE); and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and supervise mining exploitation activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor and control mine planning across all time horizons.
- Supervise compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management System and its corresponding indicators.
- Coordinate production and maintenance plans.
- Develop and monitor indicators for safety, production, supply, explosives, and maintenance.
- Manage human, physical, and financial resources to ensure the achievement of objectives.
- Control the procurement, supply, and handling of explosives in accordance with current regulations.
- Guarantee compliance with applicable mining and environmental regulations.
- Ensure the implementation of underground mining safety provisions.
- Manage and distribute the department’s human resources while promoting productivity and safety.
