Managing Partner & Co-Founder
Vikram Sodhi is an investor and philanthropist focused on long-term capital allocation in metals and mining and on institution-building in research, education, and health.
He is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Sun Valley Investments, a privately held investment firm that deploys proprietary capital with a long-term orientation. Sun Valley has built substantial ownership positions in mining companies including Mineros S.A. (TSX: MSA, OTCQX: MNSAF, BVC: MINEROS) and Canagold Resources Ltd. (TSX: CCM, OTC-QB: CRCUF, Frankfurt: CANA) and takes an active, long-term approach to capital allocation, governance, and strategic development.
Mr. Sodhi serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mineros S.A He also serves as Executive Chairman of Goldlogic Corp., through which he leads investments across the capital structure, including structured financing, royalties, and offtake arrangements.
In parallel with his investment activities, Mr. Sodhi is the Founder of the Sodhi Foundation, which supports research into novel treatments for PTSD, including psychedelic-assisted therapies, and invests in early childhood education and community development initiatives in underserved regions of Colombia and India. In 2024, his philanthropy established the Vikram Sodhi ’92 Professorship of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine.
In 2026, Mr. Sodhi established the Vikram Sodhi Centre of Excellence for AI-Enabled Geological & Mining Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The Centre supports applied artificial intelligence across exploration, mine planning, processing, predictive maintenance, and ESG analytics, and is intended to advance interdisciplinary, industry-linked innovation in mining.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Sodhi co-founded and managed investment platforms across the United States, Latin America, and India, with experience spanning metals, mining, and affordable housing.
He graduated from Yale University, where he conducted neuroscience research at Yale School of Medicine and is a Sterling Fellow. He is a member of Yale’s President’s Council on International Activities and is fluent in five languages, including Spanish and Portuguese.
