We are looking for electricians with experience in electrical maintenance in industrial plants or mining operations.

You must have at least 2 years of experience with a specific focus on electrical systems. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Professional certification required: Valid professional card with categories TE3, TE4, TE5, or Conaltel card.

Education: Industrial Electricity, Electrotechnics, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Installations, and/or related fields. Training in electrical safety, RETIE, lockout/tagout – LOTO is required.

Responsibilities

1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electric motors, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, distribution systems, lighting, and electrical equipment at mine, plant, laboratory, and infrastructure sites.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in equipment, control circuits, switchboards, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), starters, and electrical systems at 24 VDC, 110 VAC, 220 VAC, and 440 VAC — identify root causes and restore operations within the authorized scope.
3. Read and follow electrical schematics to ensure correct system installation.
4. Configure variable frequency drives (VFDs) to optimize equipment performance.
5. Perform electrical tests including continuity, insulation, resistance, grounding, functional testing, and voltage absence verification to confirm safe and reliable conditions before, during, and after interventions.
6. Carry out wiring, terminations, conduit routing, electrical adaptations, and installation of enclosures, controls, and industrial electrical networks to ensure functional, organized, and technically safe installations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrician in underground mining and/or industrial plants.
• Solid knowledge of star-delta functions, direct and time-delayed starter assembly, motor connections, VFD configuration, and electrical schematic interpretation.
• Valid professional card: categories TE3, TE4, TE5, or Conaltel.
• Availability to work on a mining project in Segovia, Antioquia.
