We are currently seeking an Exploration Geologist, a professional graduate in Geology or Geological Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities
- Execute geological and structural mapping in surface exploration areas, identifying units, veins, and control structures.
- Perform geological logging of drill cores and channels, recording lithology, alterations, and mineralization, along with their respective sampling.
- Update and maintain geological and geochemical databases (samples, veins, outcrops, and structures), ensuring their integrity and traceability.
- Develop detailed geology and vein tracking on the surface to define continuity and structural control.
- Conduct geological surveys and sampling in underground mining operations, strictly following QA/QC and safety protocols.
- Mark and orient diamond drill holes, ensuring correct location and compliance with the drilling design.
- Analyze geochemical results and systematic sampling, interpreting anomalies and mineralized trends both in the mine and on the surface.
- Process and interpret satellite imagery and orthophotos to identify structural lineaments and areas of geological interest.
- Update information in the Geographic Information System (GIS) and generate cartographic products to support exploration activities.
- Prepare periodic technical reports on exploration progress, collaborating with the environmental and safety departments to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Professional degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
- Training in QA/QC, mining safety, and database management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mineral exploration (surface or underground).
