IT Systems and Infrastructure Coordinator

We are seeking an IT Systems and Infrastructure Coordinator to ensure the operation, stability, and security of the organization’s technological infrastructure including (networks, servers, IP telephony, firewalls, and cloud services) by coordinating the technical activities of the department and ensuring the continuity of IT services.

Requirements:

• Academic background: Professional or technologist in Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Between 2 and 4 years of experience in infrastructure administration and advanced IT support roles.
• Availability to visit mining projects when required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Administer the organization’s technological infrastructure, including servers (physical and virtual), networks, Wi-Fi, IP telephony, firewalls, and cloud services (primarily Azure).
• Ensure the continuity of voice and data services by addressing incidents, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and escalating issues to providers when necessary.
• Manage operational security, including: Applying patches and updates to servers and devices.
• Managing antivirus/EDR and implementing basic hardening policies.
• Periodically reviewing logs and security alerts from firewalls and/or monitoring consoles.
• Execute and verify backups of critical information, including regular restoration tests.
• Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on computing, network, IP telephony, and server equipment.
• Maintain updated inventory and technical documentation of the infrastructure, configurations, and implemented changes.
• Coordinate the activities of the technical support team, assigning priorities and ensuring proper resolution of incidents and requests.
• Monitor the performance of technology providers (internet, telephony, managed services), ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Support IT management in planning activities and projects, including migrations, updates, and infrastructure improvements.
• Promote user awareness of cybersecurity best practices and the responsible use of technological resources.

Conditions:

• Permanent contract with salary to be determined based on experience.
• Fully on-site position in Envigado.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday.
