We are currently seeking a Geomechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geomechanical studies and analyses to ensure stability and safety in our mining projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform geomechanical characterization of the rock mass (field data collection).
- Conduct monitoring and stability control.
- Define and validate support types.
- Design reinforcement systems based on rock mass quality and excavation conditions.
- Perform modeling (simulations) utilizing software such as Phase2.
- Utilize software: AutoCAD, Vulcan, Leapfrog.
- Process structural data in Dips and Unwedge.
- Identify and evaluate risks of rockfall, collapses, or ground pressures within the mine.
- Provide support to mine planning by advising on excavation design.
- Train personnel on topics related to the area.
Requirements:
- Academic Background: Geologist or Geological Engineer.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in underground mining.
- Availability to work on mining projects in Segovia, Antioquia.

- Schedule: 14×7 roster, 12-hour shifts.
