Job Opening:

Quantitative Analyst

We are seeking a Quantitative Analyst to design, develop and validate quantitative models that transform market information into executable signals and strategies, through research, statistical analysis and simulation, in order to support decision-making with quantifiable evidence and consistent performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain the feature and signal layer derived from market microstructure data, ensuring measurable predictive content, a known decay horizon and documented availability timings.
  • Estimate the accuracy of each agent and the conditional dependence among them, designing aggregation mechanisms that convert their outputs into calibrated probabilities and defining the appropriate treatment for structurally weak decision classes.
  • Translate calibrated conviction levels into executable positions through volatility-control and scaling strategies, accounting for drawdown limits, defining exposure limits, tail-risk scenarios and order-placement logic within defined latency budgets.
  • Publish the expected degradation range between research results and production performance prior to strategy deployment. Monitor signal decay and model calibration drift, and analyze performance by agent, market regime and trade direction to identify deviations.

Requirements:

  • Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Computer Science or Economics.
  • Advanced command of Python in production environments.
  • Experience in distributed data processing (Spark or equivalent technologies).
  • Proficiency with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect, Airflow or equivalents.
  • Minimum of three years of experience developing backtesting and simulation processes.
  • Experience in execution modeling and in measuring and evaluating the performance of quantitative strategies.
  • Direct responsibility for strategies deployed with real capital and monitoring of their degradation in production environments.

We Offer:

  • Location: Envigado, Viva Palmas.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday.
  • Salary: negotiable.
  • Benefits: lunch and transportation.
  • Work model: on-site/remote.
  • Contract: permanent (indefinite term) or service agreement.
