We are seeking an Exploration Geologist to generate and analyze reliable geological information through exploration, mapping, sampling and geological interpretation activities, in order to identify and assess the mineral potential of projects, supporting technical decision-making and the sustainable development of exploration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological and structural mapping in surface exploration areas, identifying units, veins and controlling structures.
• Perform geological logging of drill cores and channels, recording lithology, alterations and mineralization, with corresponding sampling.
• Update and maintain geological and geochemical databases (samples, veins, outcrops and structures), ensuring their integrity and traceability.
• Develop detailed geology and vein tracking on surface to define continuity and structural control.
• Carry out geological surveys and sampling in underground mine workings, following QA/QC and safety protocols.
• Mark and orient diamond drill holes, ensuring correct positioning and compliance with the drilling design.
• Analyze geochemical results and systematic sampling, interpreting anomalies and mineralized trends in the mine and on surface.
• Process and interpret satellite imagery and orthophotos to identify structural lineaments and areas of geological interest.
• Update information in the Geographic Information System (GIS) and generate cartographic products to support exploration.
• Prepare periodic technical reports on exploration progress, collaborating with the environmental and safety areas to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
• Knowledge and application of QA/QC procedures, mining safety and database management.
• Experience in surface exploration, field data collection, geological mapping, tunnel sampling and data analysis.
• Minimum of three to four years of experience in mining exploration (surface or underground).
