Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete gold acquisition process from suppliers through final delivery, ensuring compliance with agreed timelines, costs, and quality standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders in the supply chain.
- Control gold inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock to meet demand without incurring unnecessary costs from excess inventory.
- Supervise inventory management systems and ensure full traceability at all times, using specialized software tools and technologies.
- Oversee physical security protocols for gold, including preventive measures against theft or loss.
- Implement strategies to optimize operational costs by identifying areas for improvement in supply chain, logistics, and inventory management.
- Manage the area’s operational budget, ensuring financial targets set by the company are met.
- Ensure all operations are conducted within the legal and regulatory framework governing the trade of precious metals (including local and international regulations on money laundering, fraud prevention, quality control, etc.).
- Collaborate with security, legal, and compliance teams to guarantee all purchasing, storage, and sales processes for gold align with sector laws and regulations.
- Propose and implement changes to operational strategies based on market data analysis and company performance.
- Participate in strategic decision-making related to business expansion, commercial partnerships, and new business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational and service processes by implementing process optimization and technology projects.
- Implement new technologies or systems to improve traceability, control, and security in operations.
- Identify and mitigate operational, logistical, and financial risks related to gold commercialization.
- Develop contingency plans for potential supply chain failures or extreme fluctuations in gold prices.
- Ensure the necessary operations are carried out to meet export deadlines in accordance with CPS dates (applicable to silver). (Shared responsibility with the supervisor and operations leader.)
- Report purchases and consumption of controlled chemical substances and mass-use substances on the SICOQ platform.
- Prepare technical visit reports including improvement proposals.
- Support and advise the commercial team during technical visits to processing plants.
- Accompany and supervise assigned personnel to confirm compliance with their duties and execution of procedures related to production processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies to protect company assets.
