Inventory Analyst

We are seeking an Inventory Analyst to join our Supply Chain / Logistics Department, based in the Northeast of Antioquia.

The primary mission of this role is to ensure the control, accuracy, and availability of inventories for materials, spare parts, and supplies utilized in mining operations. This is achieved through data analysis and the implementation of robust storage and inventory management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, control, and record all inventory movements (inflows, outflows, and transfers).
  • Perform periodic reconciliations between physical inventory counts and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Coordinate and execute both cyclical and general physical inventories.
  • Generate comprehensive inventory reports for operational, financial, and procurement departments.
  • Monitor stock levels to identify and alert management regarding risks of overstocking or depletion.
  • Support the optimization of storage spaces and the effective classification of materials.
  • Collaborate with the Demand Planner in the strategic planning of supply and replenishment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during inventory handling and storage.

Requirements:

  • Education: Technical, Technological, or Professional Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in similar roles, preferably within the mining or industrial sector.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of storage standards and inventory control procedures.
  • Familiarity with materials and spare parts commonly used in mining operations.
